The history of Ubud is very attached to the people here. The name itself derived from the word Ubad which is defined in the Balinese language means medicine. This village is believed to be discovered by a Hindu priest named Rsi Markandya in the 11th century. He traveled east of Bali and stopped in a forest now called Ubud.
This place now a very favorite place to just get to know Yoga. Lots of tourists has known this place only to do Yoga, or only to visit as in the movie Eat Pray and Love.

How to get to Ubud?
Ubud is located right in heart of Bali, it takes only 25 Km from Denpasar, with the elevation that located 300 meters above the sea level makes the weather in here consider cooler than southern part of the island.
